Give Back to the Santa Clara Community by Volunteering

Published by admin at 3:38 pm under Volunteering

If you ever find yourself with too much downtime and want to get out of the house, you should try your hand at volunteer work. Help is always welcome in this line of work, and no experience is needed.  The Santa Clara volunteer services program has a multitude of volunteer options available. It is important to find the right opportunity for you to assure a rewarding experience that will benefit both you AND the city.

In addition to giving back, volunteering in Santa Clara is a chance to really get connected to your community. You get an inside look at how the local government works while at the same time sharing your skills and talents. Volunteering is also a great way to expand your social network. By putting yourself out there, you can make friends interested in the same activities as you and form lifelong connections.

If you like to work with people, you should try filling a volunteer position at the community recreation center, senior center, teen center, or youth activity center. If you’re more interested in a desk job, perhaps a position at the police department or finance department would be the right choice for you. The city of Santa Clara welcomes any volunteers and has a position suitable for just about everyone.
